• Breast cancer support groups:
  • Bosom Buddies daytime group: Weekly on Wednesdays, 10 to 11:30 a.m., with a potluck lunch second Wednesdays.
  • Triple Negative: Third Tuesdays, 7 p.m.
• CLIMB (Children’s lives include moments of bravery): A special program for children who have a parent or caregiver who has cancer. Call 704-384-5223 for dates and times.
• Colorectal cancer support: First Mondays, 6 p.m.
• Pancreatic cancer support: Call 704-841-0728 for dates and times.
• Prostate cancer support: Second Mondays. Call 704-384-5223 for start times.
• Thyroid cancer support: Third Saturdays, 10 to 11:30 a.m.
• Lending Boutique: Your borrowing resource for wigs, scarves, hats, turbans, bras and prostheses. Donations welcome!

• Living through cancer – Huntersville: Third Thursdays at 6 p.m. at Huntersville Medical Center in the Physician’s Plaza, room 380. Offers general support to adults with cancer and those who love and care for them. Call 704-384-3513 to register.

• New! Community head and neck cancer screenings: April 5 and 6, 6:15 to 8:15 p.m., Presbyterian Medical Center, radiation oncology area. Screenings are free. Registration is required. Call 704-384-2273 to schedule an appointment and register for a screening.
• New! Community skin cancer screenings: May 9 and 11, 6:15 to 8:15 p.m. Offered at convenient Novant Health locations. Screenings are free. Registration is required. Call 704-384-2273 to schedule an appointment and find a location.
• Bereavement support: Groups are open to anyone who has lost a loved one. To speak to a counselor or to sign up for a support group, please call 704-384-6478.
